COLUMBUS, Ohio — Residential and commercial structural and miscellaneous steel supplier and fabricator Suburban Steel Supply, was contracted to provide structural steel for the new two-story Preston Office Building, located at 600 Morrison Road, Gahanna, Ohio (ZIP Code 43230).
Suburban Steel detailed, fabricated and delivered approximately 45 tons of structural steel, including 12 tons of joists and 145 squares of metal deck to the office building.
One of the challenges this project presented to Suburban Steel was that the company had to provide quality work in a small amount of time. Suburban Steel also had the challenge of coordinating the steel and joist drawings for the job. The company began work on the building in early November. Suburban Steel completed the structural steel work on March 19, 2007, and the ornamental/miscellaneous work is still in progress.
Suburban Steel collaborated on the project with the general contracting company, Roslovic and Partners Construction, and the steel erecting company, Seneca Steel Erectors.
